We are all looking for a magic pill to maintain a healthy weight or a simple exercise that will fix our trouble spots, If only it were that simple.  The truth is you just have to burn more calories than you consume which is easier said than done.  There are five simple tricks that you can try to aid in weight loss that are also good for your overall health.   And the good news is you don’t have to consume any strange colored foods or beverages, just add a few things to your routine to help speed up your metabolism.

Start by eating foods like pineapple, which contains bromelain and is used by gastroenterologists to treat gastrointestinal disorders. Apparently, Bromelain helps the pancreatic cells break down food substances so that they can enter the energy pathways. Try to eat organic when possible because researchers have found that dieters with higher levels of pesticide chemicals stored in their fat cells had reduced metabolism.  Although eating organic food is a little pricey it is well worth the investment and if you cannot afford to buy all organic items switching over your fruits and vegetables is a great place to start.  Sipping on green tea may be a smart move when it comes to slimming down and feeling full.  Catechins, which is a chemical found in green tea, helps speed up the metabolism and reduces body mass index so sip away. Taking a cold shower can help you lose weight as it will cause you to shiver, which increases your metabolism thanks to the muscles contracting.  It is the body’s way of trying to get back to its normal temperature.  Sniffing peppermint or citrus (or anything else with that aroma) will help stimulate the nervous system which turns up your metabolism.  Sniffing some common aromas can help you drop pounds, assist with your workouts & make your overall mood pleasant.
